It’s
just like being at the bar but, without the old crusty regulars!
...
A few things

There’s the Super Bowl, President’s Day & more confusing
cold, snowy, rainy, sunny weather in Michigan.

Moving on to
February 12th Abraham Lincoln’s Birthday!! Sound the kazoo’s
& drop the balloons! What
does Abe’s birthday have anything to do with the tavern you may
be asking...well, plenty. Now
is the time when your trusty bartender provides a little trivia
and allows you to order another drink while you ponder the fun
fact. |
THE
(FUN) FACT
Abraham
Lincoln, the 16th president of the United States, was born in
Kentucky, where his father was a seasonal distillery hand.
One of today’s better bourbons, Knob Creek, was named after
the site of that distillery. As
a young man in Illinois, Abe Lincoln applied for and received a state
license to sell liquor, and he operated several taverns. So
feel free to pour a nice neat Knob Creek bourbon & toast Abe! |
