My recent Metro seemed to be working blue. First the podcast featured the annoying sound cicadas make and then the front page of the Metro showed the Green Giants'
niblets. What gives? -Pru Dish
ED NOTE: Ask my brother Larry to do his
impression of a cicada. It is quite entertaining. I didn't know cicadas
swore. As for the Jolly Green Giant. It was not his niblets you saw, but
rather his pea pod. There is about a 8" difference.
Is there going to be a Cockroach reunion this 4th of July? I heard Steve is throwing a big 4th of July party and I may make the trip up to see the 30 year reunion show.
-Larz
ED NOTE: No cockroaches, but
maybe we can coax some of those cicadas to make an appearance.
What is the definition of "dry" as it pertains to a wedding in the South?
ED NOTE: I think it actually
means it didn't rain during the ceremony, unlike the buckets pouring the
morning of and the morning after. If you are referring to the reception, then
I have no clue as to what you are referring to.
I
was sitting here this morning drinking my coffee and opened up the McCarty
Metro just to enter my vote for my favorite Monopoly piece. I perused
over the other items of interest you have listed at the bottom of the screen.
I decided to read your Final Thought to see what you had on your mind this
month. It really touched my heart. I've heard so many stories from
Larry about your dad and feel like I know him. I did not, however,
realize today is the anniversary of his passing. First of all let me
extend to you and your brothers my condolences for your loss. I know
what you mean about looking at a picture and, for a brief moment, memories are
rekindled of days gone by...the stories, bad jokes, laughter, the way things
used to be. -Gina
