This1984 Tigers anthem is not one of my greatest baseball songs.
But with Verlander, Cabrera, Prince Fielder anchoring a very good
Detroit Tigers 2012 roster, I have visions of a 1984 repeat. This
much is for certain: I'm pumped -- even without a radio
sportscaster's curious comment Feb. 19: "Two words for people
who love baseball: Pitchers and catchers report to spring
training."
1. "Take Me Out to the Ballgame,"by Jack Norworth and Albert Von Tilzer (not Harry
Caray)
2. Randy Newman's theme from "The Natural."
3. "Centerfield," by Fogerty & Urban
4. "Talkin' Baseball," Terry Cashman
5. "Joltin' Joe Dimaggio," Les Brown
6. "Catfish," Bob Dylan
7. "The Greatest," Kenny Rogers
8. "Cheap Seats," Alabama
9. "I Love Mickey," Teresa Brewer
10.
"The Star Spangled Banner" (Hey, they sing it at
every baseball game.)

WHERE WAS YOUR EASTER BASKET?
It took awhile, but eventually -- after complaining, finagling clues out of Mom and Dad, offering your brothers a deal (If you see my basket and tell me where it is, I'll tell you where I saw yours), and/or crying -- we found our Easter basket before the holiday was over. And before the chocolate rabbit melted completely.
In today's quiz, we are going to work backward -- sort of like a medical examiner. Given the clues in your Easter basket, you must try to guess where in 9323 Sussex in Detroit was it hidden. Good luck. Answers at bottom.
1. After a long search, your basket is found. However, the chocolate rabbit is half-melted, and the "grass" and all the chocolate contents smell like dirty socks. Where was your basket?
Answer
2. Your Easter basket is cold, and has a faint odor of milk. Where was your basket?
Answer
3. Your Easter basket and all its contents are covered in lint. Where was it?
Answer
4. In addition to chocolate and grass, your Easter basket also has a cotton-candy-like substance. Where was your basket?
