LIFETIME
ACHIEVEMENT AWARD |
MIKE
McCARTY
Mike is the dean
of all Metro reporters, and guitar player for the infamous Mac
& The Lost Cause. He was there right from the start of the
Metro back in the 1960's, covering such events as the Sus-Comb
500. Today, he still splits his time at the Grand Rapids Press
and the McCarty Metro. Mike can still be seen on his Bluegrass
Page. He also appears live occasionally with his one-man show
which can be seen in and around the Grand Rapids area.
Our congratulations go out to Mike.

Le' FOOD
GRAND RAPIDS ONLY FRENCH
RESTAURANT
Le' Food was the
invention of Jerry McCarty from the McCarty Metro video editions
that took place in the 1980's and 1990's. The head waiter of Le'
Food, (Pepe'), takes
crank phone call after crank phone call from a mischievous Chris McCarty,
while Mike and Karen are not at home. The scenes culminate with Pepe'
(Jerry) calling out into the crowded restaurant for patrons such as Mike Rotch,
Seymour Butts, and Hugh Jass to name a few. Congratulations to
Jerry and Le'
Food.
