Q: I
don’t have a nice camera. And all I’ve got is Windows Movie
Maker/iMovie. Can I still compete?
A: Absolutely! If you have a good script, we don’t care about the video quality. Just do the best with what you
have. We want everyone to compete!
Q: Does my
film have to be ABOUT the phrase and object I choose?
A: Not at all. As long as the phrase is spoken at some point in
the film, and the object is in the camera’s view at some point
in the film, you are good!
Q: What kind
of music is permissible for inclusion in my film?
A: Either music you created, own the rights to, or public domain,
royalty-free music. There are a ton of websites that offer this
kind of music for download, completely free. Just because you
own a band’s CD does not give you the “rights” to use it in
your own production.
If you have any further questions, send an email
to mccartymetro@gmail.com,
and I will reply to you and/or post it here in the FAQ section.
