DATELINE: McCARTY METRO STUDY

The McCarty Metro deployed reporter Austin McCarty to do an intense study to find what games people with different backgrounds followed and played. The game of choice for unemployed people or maintenance level workers is basketball. The game of choice for frontline workers is football. The game of choice for middle management is tennis. The game of choice for CEOs and executives is golf. Our Metro report has concluded that the higher up on the corporate ladder you are, the smaller your balls are.

Dear Editor: I enjoyed reading about Art "Hard Luck" Houtteman. I didn't know we had a major league ball player related to us. I thought the athlete that performed at the highest level was Larry McCarty on "Bowling for Dollars". Am I missing anyone else? -Uncle Tuff

ED NOTE: Cousin Jim was drafted by the Tigers as well and brother Darren played for the Wings. As far as Houtteman though, if he could have thrown a baseball at the same velocity of a Larry McCarty bowling ball, he would have gone down in MLB lore as a true fire-baller.

We always want to hear your questions, comments, rants, or editorials.

ALSO PASSED ON...
On November 16, 2015, heaven received another angel when my grandma, Bettie Kearney, passed away peacefully with loved ones surrounding her. There are no words for the loss of not only my grandma, but my best friend. I will miss talking to her every day as I have since I learned to dial a phone!

She will forever live on in my heart and is now in a much better place and back with the love of her life, my grandpa. I love you Grandma! -Erin

AND FINALLY.... DATELINE: WASHINGTON, DC

NEW SUPER COMPUTER UNVEILED

President Obama announced that the Pentagon has unveiled its new super computer. This fantastic piece of technology, capable of making millions of decisions in split nanoseconds, is designed to solve all military problems with the greatest of ease and will be a crowning achievement to Obama's legacy. To test its capabilities, Obama posed a tactical problem to it and then asked for a decision, "Attack or Retreat?" The computer hums a bit, blinks a myriad of lights and answers, "Yes." Obama, somewhat confused by this answer, replied, "Yes what?" The computer instantly replied immediately, "Yes, sir!"

THE McCARTY METRO WILL BE BACK IN FEBRUARY 2016. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
