Bradric Productions, along with The McCarty Metro, are pleased to announce its'
third annual McCarty Metro Film Project. Unlike
previous years, where we have our readers only 72 hours to
complete a 4 minute movie, this year, you have 30 days to
write, edit, and star in your very own movie. The event will take place from
June 1, 2014 to June 30, 2014. The event is open to all. We are looking for people to write, act, direct and produce a short 4 minute or less movie and submit it
to the McCarty Metro by June 30.
Please check
out the basic rules and other details on our McCarty
Metro Film Project webpage. On June 1, I will
update that page to add some 'specific items' that need to
be in your movie. This will prevent people from submitting
something that have already made. I hope increasing the time
from 72 hours to 30 days will encourage more submissions to
make this a year, the best film project ever.
OVERVIEW: Starting on
Sunday, June 1 at 12:01 AM Eastern Time, our readers will
have the entire month entire month to write, shoot, and edit a short film that meets the set guidelines laid out
in the McCarty
Metro Film Project rules,
plus the additonal items added on June 1. The winners will be determined by the McCarty Metro
staff

PAGE ON HIATUS
On April 14, Metro writer and local klutz Mike McCarty announced that his Metro Klutz Page will go on hiatus for the summer due to
an unusual lack of clumsiness.
KLUTZ CAUSES POWER OUTAGE
On April 15, local klutz Mike McCarty tried to replace a light bulb by his side door, and blew out the lights in the living room and basement. With a flashlight, Mike found the problem in the fuse box, but the fuse switch wouldn't work. EPILOGUE:
2 hours later, Mike had a light bulb moment: He removed the new bulb, suddenly the fuse box switch worked, and he put the wrong-size bulb back where it belonged.

Dear Editor. I was at the Texas Hold'em Tournament and saw some of the money went to "Gleaners". Is this a Charity for Teenagers who Want to be like Jackie Gleason?
ED NOTE: Sounds
like a Bieber thing? Thanks for bringing that up though as
Gleaners is a food bank in southeastern Michigan. For more than 37
years, Gleaners Community Food Bank has been "feeding hungry
people and nourishing our communities.” Last year, Gleaners
distributed 41 million pounds of emergency food to more than 550
partner soup kitchens, shelters and pantries in Wayne, Oakland,
Macomb, Livingston and Monroe counties. The Metro and the
McCarty family are proud to support this wonderful cause.
Letter
From Last Month.... Dear Editor. I love Rick's Martini Bar. All
the topics covered are great. On the McCarty Metro, you have the
last year's worth of podcasts, but how can I get the older ones.
-A fan
. ED NOTE: The old
podcasts are available in the iTunes store. Also, starting in
our May issue, I will make a point to upload and link all
the podcasts from the very first episode. Just as a teaser,
I am putting on the very first podcast that Jerry McCarty
and Brad Savage made. Pie
vs. Cake. Enjoy.
UPDATED
ED
NOTE: The Podcast Archive is now available. Yay!
