God bless you for the beautiful radio I won at your recent
senior citizens luncheon. I am 84 years old and live at the Villa
Bella Retirement Community.
All of my family has passed away. I am all alone now and it's nice to know that someone is thinking of me.
God bless you for your kindness to an old forgotten lady. My roommate is 95
and has always had her own radio, but before I received one, she would never
let me listen to hers, even when she was napping. The other day her radio fell off the night stand and broke into a lot of pieces.
It was awful and she was in tears. Her distress over the broken radio touched me and I knew this was God's way of answering my prayers.
She asked if she could listen to mine, and I told her to kiss my ass. Thank you for that opportunity.
Sincerely, Agnes Baker
ED NOTE: Agnes... This
was a good learning experience. While reading your heartfelt letter, I had
tears come to my eyes. I learned I shouldn't chop onions and read email
at the same time.
Hey, good seeing you Saturday. (Whew, we beat the storm. As I put together the music page, I'm watching the snow pile up and figuring out whether it would be best to tunnel out of front door or side door.)
-Mike
ED NOTE: I heard that
you took Dad's advice that in a snow storm, just follow a snow plow and
you will be just fine. Fortunately, you were able to follow the plow for
over 2 hours. Unfortunately he finally finished the Wallmart parking
lot.
I would
like to say to all the Metro family and friends "Thank You" for taking time out to
support the Michigan Lupus Alliance at our Texas Hold ‘em event on
February 24th. This is a really small organization and your support
really means a lot to them…and to me. As always, a lot of laughs
and a little bit of a head ache today. -Steve
ED NOTE: Thanks Steve. It
was a first class event all the way around.
