Hello Metro family and
friends! Thank you for reading and supporting the McCarty Metro
again this month.

What a fabulous car
trip Margaret and I were able to take. 20 days, 5600 miles, and
14 states. With COVID on the down turn, we finally
got to see our Oregon grandkids, and their
parents, who we haven't been able to hug in 2
years. Plus, the trip brought tons of sites,
hikes, National Parks, views, and stops all across this great
country of ours. I
am still not tired with retirement!
Our 11th annual
McCarty Metro NFL Pigskin Pickem game starts this
month. It only takes a couple minutes each
week to make your picks with us. It is super easy
to play, and helps the NFL season be a little more
exciting (especially here in Detroit). Please
consider playing. After all... The more, the
merrier!
We had the first
ever McCarty Summer Olympics on July 31. It was
such a beautiful day, and Kristen and Steve made
the event memorable with neat events, food, and
prizes. It was also great to see, hug, and talk
directly to extended family who I have not seen in
over a year due to COVID. A quick suggestion... We
should hold next years winter events at Coyle Park
(if the smokers haven't taken over everything).

Unfortunately,
someone hacked into my Brad Savage Facebook account, so I
was off social media a bit while I thought it was getting sorted out.
Unfortunately, Facebook never got back to me about it, so
I created a new profile under Kelly McCarty. If any of
you were already friends with me on this social network and receive a new friend
request under Kelly, please accept. You can also check with Margaret to see if it legit.
The
McCarty Metro will be back again next month for our big
Shock-tober edition. I really could use the help with
articles for that issue. If you can help in any way, send
me an email to mccartymetro@gmail.com.
In the meantime, the final thought I leave you this month
is a wish for not only my grandson and granddaughters, but all my brothers grandkids
as well. Please read and enjoy!

Here's
to growing up strong, loved, and respected...
