I think I set a record this month for the most times in the Hospital. I had two battles with Pneumonia, 8 units of Platelet Transfusions, and a 8 units of Blood Transfusions. It’s pretty bad
when the ER Doctors and Nurses know me by my first name.
I’m also having 3 Ensure Drinks per day. The only thing that I think it insures is
Diarrhea.
The Experimental Testing that I participated in resulted in mixed outcomes. The tumor in my lower back that was frozen with liquid nitrogen is no longer causing me any pain. The doctor thinks it will last for 8 months before the back pain comes back. Unfortunately, the cancer has not retreated and my body is still unable to produce bone marrow. I am also taking some injections to try to induce bone marrow growth. This also has not worked, which means that I need blood transfusions every week until something changes. My arms look like a bruised pin cushion.
I continue to be grateful to Kathlene, Dana, and Evan for all of the help they have given me. My mother-in-law Marge, also comes by the house with fruit or Gatorade to keep me hydrated.
