The 87th Academy
Awards took place at the Dolby theater on February 22.
Representing the McCarty Metro and Rick's Martini Bar were our own
Jerry McCarty and Rick Farmiloe. Rick's movie "The
Boxtrolls" was up for an award for "Best Animated
Movie". The two cruised the red carpet, enjoyed the awards
show, and even attended the Vanity Fair Party after the event.
Said Jerry about the party, "Lot's of fun. A-List
Celebrities, Disco Music, Open Bar, and In & Out Burgers. If
this isn't heaven, I don't know what is." Although The
Boxtrolls did not win their category, it is true what they say,
there are no losers.

A happy 16th
birthday to Megan McCarty. The weekend celebration started with the family
dinner at the Royal Park Hotel with Mom, Dad, Sister, Grandma,
Aunts & Uncles, and... the boyfriend. Great food and great
conversation ruled the evening. Prison stories were aplenty. To
complete the festivities, very, very large paper bags were
provided for those who couldn't finish. The teen birthday party
was to follow the following day. Congratulations Megan!
