Howdy Readers,

I just got my membership renewal in the West Michigan Bluegrass Music Association. Hey, for 10 bucks a year, what a bargain! Great bluegrass, too. Takes me back to the days of the exclusive Tent Club in the McDonald’s backyard. I believe it was 1 penny for 1 year, 2 pennies for 2 years, etc. I look back and see I should have opted for a lifetime membership, but at 7 years of age, I did not have 35 cents. Oh, well.

Hey, whether you play an instrument or just enjoy good bluegrass or any kind of music, look around for a good music association to join.  We all need music to lighten up the economic forecast for ’09. So listen up, y’all. -- Mike.
