  The wedding of Sara McCarty and Robert Brookfield took place on August 18. The bridesmaids were dressed in long black gowns, and the groomsmen were handsome in their tuxes. Robby looked a bit nervous at the beginning, but when his eyes saw his bride being escorted down the aisle with her dad, there was nothing but a confident smile on his face. Sara looked beautiful in her elegant white gown. The "I do's" were said at Trinity Methodist Church in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. After the couple walked down the aisle as husband and wife, they went to the Doubletree Hotel for a reception. The food, drink, and music were all exceptional. All had a good time. Helmsley dog gets $12 million, but real estate billionaire leaves nothing to 2 grandchildren. Leona Helmsley's dog will continue to live an opulent life, and then be buried alongside her in a mausoleum. But two of Helmsley's grandchildren got nothing from the late luxury hotelier and real estate billionaire's estate. Helmsley left her beloved white Maltese, named Trouble, a $12 million trust fund, according to her will, which was made public Tuesday in surrogate court. In a related story, Eddy, the single, unattached dog of the McCarty Metro editor Kelly McCarty, has been helping Trouble in her time of mourning. The two have been inseparable, and are rumored to soon by tying the knot, thus ticking off the grandchildren even more. Eddy & Trouble

• DATELINE: EUROPEAN THREAT LEVELS RAISED
  The British are feeling the pinch in relation to recent terrorist threats and have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon, though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz began in 1940 and tea supplies all but ran out. Terrorists have been re-categorized from "Tiresome" to "A Bloody Nuisance".  The last time the British issued "A Bloody Nuisance" warning level was during the great fire of 1666. Also, the French government announced yesterday that it has raised its terror alert level from "Run" to "Hide". The only two higher levels in France are "Collaborate" and "Surrender". The rise was precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed France 's white flag factory, effectively paralyzing the country's military capability. It's not only the English and French who are on a heightened level of alert. Italy has increased the alert level from "Shout Loudly and Excitedly" to "Elaborate Military Posturing." Two more levels remain: "Ineffective Combat Operations" and "Change Sides." The Germans also increased their alert state from "Disdainful Arrogance" to "Dress in Uniform and Sing Marching Songs." They also have two higher levels: "Invade a Neighbor" and "Lose". Belgians, on the other hand, are all on holiday as usual, and the only threat they are worried about is NATO pulling out of Brussels . The Spanish are all excited to see their new submarines ready to deploy. These beautifully designed subs have glass bottoms so the new Spanish navy can get a really good look at the old Spanish navy.  

• DATELINE: MEXICO DROPS OUT OF OLYMPICS
  President Felipe Caldern of Mexico has announced that Mexico will not participate in the next Summer Olympics. He said that, "Anyone who can run, jump, or swim has already left the country."
