KELLY IS ON YOUR COMPUTER... SO DON'T MESS AROUND

Yes, although I usually regret it, I try to help the people I work with with their home computer problems...

I got a call from a woman from my work who told me that her brand-new computer that she just purchased  wouldn't work. She said she unpacked the unit, plugged it in, and sat for 20 minutes waiting for something to happen. When I asked her what happened when she pressed the power switch, she asked. "What power switch?"

Hey Computer Guy... With summer here, what is the best website to go to for travel. -Dave

One of the best is the TripAdvisor website at http://www.tripadvisor.com. They have over 5 million traveler reviews and opinions of hotels, vacations, and more, this website is just what its name says, an advisor for trips. Like other travel websites, TripAdvisor has a form to find hotels and flights, but that is where the similarities stop. The core of TripAdvisor is the hotel reviews. It has reviews of just about any trip destination and lodging. It even lists small, out-of-the-way hotels. Many travel websites use the reviews here. I don't know of a more exhaustive list on the internet. If you check them out, they may prevent you from booking a bad hotel. Why not learn from someone else's misery? But there is more than hotel reviews here. One section has Rant & Raves (negative and positive reviews), Hot Spots, and Candid Photos. Another section called Inside Pages gives advice on what to see and do in various cities. Then there are the Top Ten Lakeside Getaways, GoLists (individual events to do or see), Hot Topics in TripAdvisor Forums, The Big Picture Show (where people share their photos), Helpful TripAdvisor Links, Hotels in Popular Destinations, Top Destinations, Recommended Vacations, Best Beach Vacations, and much more. If you want to share your travel experiences, sign up for free and start writing. You can also sign up to receive their free weekly newsletter by email. Dave, if you travel at all, TripAdvisor is the place to go before you go.

KELLY'S
LINK o' THE MONTH

One thing I love about my house is that I can go out on the back porch on a clear night and see the Big Dipper, Orion’s Belt, etc. But it always leaves me wondering what else I could see. Now, at Heavens Above, I can find out! That’s right, they can predict what constellations you can see in your local area, but to do it, you need to register. It's easy and free to do! If you don’t want to register, don’t despair. You can still search for your location. Just look under Anonymous Users for the Search link. Then choose your country and type in your city. It will then give you a listing of places to choose from. Select yours and you will be all set for this visit.
