Dish & ChefIngredientsDirections
First... The Gals

Hummus
Ann McCarty

1 Can of garbanzo beans
2 1/2 Tbsp of sesame tahini (it's by the peanut butter in the grocery store)
the juice of one lemon
1/2 tsp of paprika
1Tbsp. of olive oil
1 clove of garlic crushed.
Mix altogether in a food processor. Garnish with a little dusting of paprika and serve with pita bread.
Pan Burritos
Karen McCarty
2 lbs. ground beef
1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
2 pkgs enchilada sauce mix
1 (16 oz.) can refried beans (warmed, so they spread easy)
1 pkg. (10) large flour tortillas
2 to 3 (10 oz.) pkgs. shredded mild cheddar or colby cheese
garlic powder, salt,, pepper to taste
Brown the ground beef and drain. Mix the tomato paste and enchilada sauce mix according to directions on back of sauce mix packages. Then add half of the enchilada sauce to the beef and simmer 15 to 20 minutes. Add the garlic powder, salt and pepper, if desired. Spray or grease a 9 x 13 pan and spread about half of the remaining enchilada sauce on the bottom of the pan. Add 1 layer of tortillas. Spoon half of the meat mixture on top of the tortillas and sprinkle a third of the cheese over the meat. Add another layer of tortillas. Then spread on the warmed refried beans. Spoon the rest of the meat on top of the beans and add another third of the cheese.
Add one more layer of tortillas and pour remaining enchilada sauce on top. Finish with the remaining cheese. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting. Serve with any of these: taco sauce, chopped onions, sour cream, guacamole or chopped chili peppers. Serves 8

NOTE: This is excellent reheated, but if you are making the dish ahead of time and wish to freeze it, omit the final layer of cheese and sauce. Bring the casserole to room temperature before baking. Add cheese and sauce just before putting in oven.

Place thick side down in baking pan. Pour 1 can tomato soup and 1 can water with ketchup over cabbage. Cover and bake @ 350 degrees for 1 hour.
Now... The Guys
The Steve McCarty Grilled Cheese
Jim Seeling
2 slices of generic American cheese (it's cheaper if it's not individually wrapped!)
2 slices of white bread (was there any other type before he met Kristen?)
Lots of butter
1 beer
Reserve a room in Daytona Beach Florida with a kitchenette. Place tin foil frying pan on broken electric stove (set to high). Place butter in pan and drink a beer while it is supposed to be melting. Grow impatient, rub both pieces of bread (both sides) in pan (hoping for food residue from the previous guests for that "cooked" appearance). Express "mmmmmmm-greazy" loudly to your guest. Plate the first piece of bread. Layer two slices of cheese on bread. Top with second slice of bread. Serve "sandwich" but be sure that you tear off and eat at least one half yourself! Enjoy!!
Chinese Ramen Noodles
Mike McCarty

2 cups water
Bamboo shoots
Water chestnuts
Pour water into pot, bring to a boil, insert Ramen Noodles, let boil three minutes. During boil, dump in bamboo shoots and water chestnuts. Turn off heat, put in Ramen Noodle flavoring, stir. Wait a minute and eat.
