What's On Your Mind? Dear Chrissy, Usually, I just let Fred buy me a couple of drinks first. My favorite drink is made by taking a highball glass with ice, pour in 2 ounces of tequila, 4 ounces of orange juice, then slowly and carefully over the back of a teaspoon, float a half an ounce of Galliano on top of the drink. Dear Chrissy, Thanks for the question Eric. I went to a local bar in our area and talked to some guy in a feathered hat, and he responded that it tastes better that way. Actually, I believe the reason is that in establishments like bars, people going to the bathroom tend to not want to touch any part of the urinals for health reasons, so owners put ice in there to melt as the patrons pee. This almost acts as a flush, and it keeps the room a little fresher. My boyfriend also says it makes for good target practice. Dear Chrissy, Hi Kathlene. I consulted with a good friend of mine on this one. Paul Stanley from the rock group KISS said "I AY. I know a lot of you people like to drink vodka and orange juice. Well, to make a long story short, we got wasted on some cold gin. Dear Chrissy, Well Kipper, that is a loaded question. You see, the half lives of many radionuclides have been measured in the Radioactivity Group of NIST. They have a table, based on "New and revised half-life measurements results,"§ by M.P. Unterweger, D.D. Hoppes, and F.J. Schima (1992), with a revised listing of the half lives determined at NIST since 1967. This table supersedes the table presented in NBS Special Publication 626 [D.D. Hoppes and F.J. Schima, ed. (1982), p. 85] as well as that presented in "New and revised half-life measurements results." Included in this table are new values not previously tabulated in either publication. The references are given for these values. Values revised since NBS Special Publication 626 for the half lives of various "short-lived" radionuclides arise from improved impurity analysis, incorporation of additional data from new sources, and reevaluation of old data. I hope that answers your question, and tell La Fawnduh that I said "hey".
