To All McCartys On Memorial Day weekend, the flowers were planted, the garden was weeded, and the lawn was cut. Mom's yard looks great, but she will need help keeping the grounds looking good all summer! If you come over to visit Mom, check her garden for weeds, see if the lawn needs cutting, etc. Don't ask if she needs anything done, she will say no. Just do it! The First Dance There is nothing more important than the first dance at a wedding. It should be a song that is special to the bride & groom. That is why Jack Cassidy chose "You Light Up My Life" by Debbie Boone, and Jennifer Lopez chose "Two out of Three ain’t Bad" by Meatloaf. Knowing Ryans taste in music, The McCarty Metro is taking matters into its' own hands by sponsoring "Pick Ryan & Missy's first song". It's simple, just fill out the form and choose the song you want to hear. Graduation Correction Brad McCarty would like to announce that the Fraser High School commencement exercises will be held Saturday morning, June 5, 2004 at 10 AM in the Pontiac Silverdome, Pontiac Michigan. Some announcements went out that admission was by ticket only. That is NOT true. Everyone is welcome to attend the Silverdome event. Dateline Tennessee Amanda McCarty announces her graduation from Mt. Juliet Christian Academy on June 4 at 7:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to the ceremony where Amanda will give the Salutatorian address. Then everyone is invited to an Open House at the Tennessee McCarty's on June 6 from 12:30 - 4:30 p.m. A Cockroach Reunion? | . | Organizers of the 2004 DMGC are working feverishly trying to get the elusive 'Brad Savage & The Cockroaches' reunion booked for their outing. Not since the breakup of the Beatles has their been such a clamor for a one-time event. The Cockroaches cut records in 1982, and did a tour of venues to promote it. They got back together in 2001 when Brad Savage, Eric Swan, Bob Dantzer & Carl Rollin went back to the studio and cut a CD which was the entire score for "The Archies" movie soundtrack. As of now, organizers say they have everyone in the fold except for Lance DeVous (drums) and Brad Savage. Brad cites 2 reasons for the holdout. First, he says he will not do it without Lance, who cannot (or does not want to) be found. Second, organizers want him to play the Cadillac jingle at least 7 times. Savage originally gave his blessings for John "Tony" Russo to take over and perform with the band and until he heard that John wanted to bring a ringer (Jimmy) in. Stay tuned. | A possible sub for Brad Savage?
