Animosity. A choke hold. Physical altercation. These words were used in news reports to describe the Sept. 4 post-game dustup between Tigers broadcasters Mario Impemba and Rod Allen. Later that week, the two were taken off the air for the remainder of the season.

Will they return next season? Fox Sports Detroit will only say that the whole thing is an internal matter. In other words, butt out. But what happened when Rod and Mario were called on the carpet by an FSD exec? Metro readers want to know.

ROD: Someone hold me back before I make a Wallside Windows punchout.
