With Jer

It has been a tough couple of months which saw me complete my Radiation Therapy, Restart Chemotherapy, and end up back in the hospital for blood transfusions.  Just when I was feeling pretty low and I needed it the most, my spirits got bolstered by a visit from my brothers.

Mike, Rick, Larry, and Steve flew to Los Angeles. We had a great time visiting the beach and even went to Jay Leno’s Garage where we saw the first car that was jointly owned by my brothers Mike, Dennis, and Rick; a 1962 Red Chevy Corvair.

Being a part of the McCarty Family is so great.  These guys all have families, jobs, and important things going on their life, but they took time to come out and visit me. Their visit is something I will never ever forget. I will remember every second of their trip, from talk about In & Out Burgers, Our Favorite TV Cop Shows, and what’s better WAZE or Garmin.  I’m proud to call these guys my brothers.

I also know that my others brothers would have come if not for Kelly’s double knee replacement and Dennis being in Saudi Arabia. All of my brothers call me to check-in to see how I’m doing.  These guys are truly Super Heroes!

I have volunteered for a Cryogenic Therapy Trial.  I think they plan on freezing my bone marrow to see what that does.  Kind of like a Cancer Freeze Pop.
