Our Metro Podcast people attended the 84th Academy Awards show on February 26. Jerry McCarty, Rick Farmiloe and Amanda Raymond took in the evening, and hobnobbed with some old and new friends at the former Kodak Theater.
First and foremost was the fashion. Of course Rick and Jerry looked dapper as usual, but Amanda had eyes turn with her beautiful reproduction dress from the movie "The Artist". She had many compliments from celebs in attendance, who all looked lovely and handsome as well. She was even compared to Veronica Lake.
Second, (and probably just as important) was they had an open bar. Kenny Corona would have been proud.
Some name dropping...
Rick Farmiloe got a chance to meet and talk to the likes of Martin Scorsese, Cameron Diaz (who by the way, bought Jerry a drink at the Beverly Hills Hotel), Nick Nolte and best actor winner Jean Dujardin.
Amanda got to talk to Angelina Jolie, Jason Segal (from the Muppet Movie) and Chirstopher Plummer.
Jerry met Emma Stone, Glen Close, and walked in with friend and SAG President Ken Howard and his wife.
One of the big stories of this page though is that the trio hung out most of the night with actress Sean Young (Stripes, No Way Out, Ace Ventura, Blade Runner). Sean was wanting to meet everyone, getting her picture taken with anyone who would stop. She even called the McCarty Metro editor (Brad Savage) on the phone from the
Academy Awards show and had a nice conversation about Zodiac signs and other
topics.
Rick, Amanda and Jerry all thought she was fun, however a few hours later, she was thrown in jail for alegedly crashing a post-oscar party and slapping a security guard. "I hope it wasn't something I said", commented Brad. Photos and the video report from TMZ are below.

getting physical with a security guard ... TMZ has learned.
Sources tell us ... Young was attending the Governors Ball
-- the annual schmancy Oscar party thrown by the Academy itself --
when she allegedly got into a dispute with a security guard and
made contact.
We're told the "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective" star was
placed under citizen's arrest by security -- until LAPD arrived to
take her into custody. Young was booked for misdemeanor battery.
In the hours before her arrest, Young was
taking pictures with some of the biggest stars in the world ... including
Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Sandra Bullock and Cockroach lead singer Eric Swan.
All in all, Rick, Amanda and
