The wait is... OVER. The newest addition to the McCarty clan made her appearance at 6:13 AM on February 8, 2005. Steve & Kristen McCarty chose the baby's name from many Metro submissions made in the January issue. Jenna Kiara McCarty weighed in at 7 lbs. 11 oz, and measured 20.5". Both Mom and baby are doing fine and are now home. Pictured is Megan showing her new baby sister the proper way to smile when the cameras are flashing.

DATELINE HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA
Metro editor and reporter Kelly McCarty recently went on assignment to Hollywood, California to get the scoop on all the stars. He files his report on a special page later in this issue. However, Kelly and fellow reporter Jerry McCarty did also meet up with childhood friend and horror movie producer Dennis Devine in a Hollywood eatery across the street from the Kodak Theater where the 2005 Academy Awards were held. A lot of nostalgia took place at the lunch, with remembering things that happened on Sussex. We were saddened at the news that Mary Devine passed away last year, but mother Nellie, and family members Pat, Mike, and Kathy are all doing well and living in California.

Over the past 9 years, the event has raised thousands of dollars for worthy charities in Dan's name, including the Kidney Foundation, Multiple Sclerosis Society, American Heart Association and the Lupus Alliance. This year's outing will be held on August 6, 2005. Mark your calendars now, and more details will be forthcoming a future McCarty Metro.

MORE CELEBRITY SIGHTINGS!
Reporter Larry McCarty proves that you don't have to go to California to hang out with the stars. Metro reader, Josh Storie of Lebanon, TN shares a little story of his own romantic star crossing with Jessie the Cowgirl from Toy Story 2. When asked if this was serious, Josh replied, "There are no strings attached."

DATELINE FRASER, MICHIGAN
Fraser Rambler Basketball is back on the map thanks to some familiar faces. Not since the 1997-1998 season has Fraser won a conference championship. Back in that year when the Ramblers went undefeated in the conference season (16-0) Fraser was coached by Marshall Wandrei and led by it's top players Chris McCarty (center), Dan Kresbaugh (forward), Brian Williams and Kevin McGuffie (guards). Well, DEJAVOUS!!! Wandrei led the team to the MAC Blue title this year with help from his 4 key assistant coaches McCarty, Kresbaugh, Williams and McGuffie. The current Ramblers won by 1 game over Roseville and finished with a 9-3 conference mark. Congratulations!
